Proposed school calendars for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years have been released for public review by the Henry County Board of Education.

Each one calls for 178 school days as well as five or more teacher workdays throughout the year. In both cases the first day of classes would the first Wednesday of August and the school year would end for students the Friday before Memorial Day. As in past years, the schedule included a break week in September as well as the entire week of Thanksgiving, along with two weeks off between semesters over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. School would be dismissed the entire week of Presidents Day in February and spring break would be in April.

The board is expected to take action on the calendars April 20.
