Proposed school calendars for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years were presented to the Henry County Board of Education at its May 14 meeting. They were also posted on the district’s website May 15 for public review ahead of possible approval at a future meeting.
Both calendars as presented would push the start of the school year back to August, after starting the current year July 31 and the upcoming year July 30, and end before Memorial Day each year after 177 and 178 instructional days, respectively. Citizens who wish to have their feedback considered by the school board are asked to send their comments to publiccomments@henry.k12.ga.us.
The 2018-2019 calendar was approved in December of 2016.
