The Henry County Board of Education approved a $15,330,000 bid for renovations and modifications to six schools: Locust Grove High School, Locust Grove Middle School, Bethlehem Elementary School, New Hope Elementary School, Rock Spring Elementary School and Tussahaw Elementary School.

The work will include a multi-purpose addition and strings room addition at Locust Grove High. The contractor who submitted the approved bid is MEJA Construction of Peachtree City. All of the funding for this contract is provided in the district’s special-purpose local option sales tax program.

The vote to approve the bid was unanimous.
