Henry County police to buy 100 rifles

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted recently to approve the purchase of 100 tactical rifles and related equipment using $98,433 in federal asset forfeiture and seized funds. Officers working the field will receive SIGM400 rifles, each of which will come with a sling, two magazines, a rail-mounted light and a rifle bag.

The purchase was approved unanimously by commissioners.
