Henry County will get into the holiday spirit on Sunday with a tree lighting ceremony at Nash Farm.

“Lights, Skate and Celebrate,” scheduled for 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 1, will feature the debut of the park’s new ice staking rink and include food, caroling and face painting. Visitors also will participate in a unity tree lighting in the evening.

“Henry County residents are invited to join me and other civic and religious leaders to celebrate the upcoming holidays and to count down to the lighting of the Tree of Unity,” Henry Commissioner Dee Clemmons said.

“I look forward to everyone coming out for this fun community event to fellowship and celebrate the Christmas season,” she said.

The event is free. The ice skating rink is open from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. and costs $10.
