Henry County public school graduation rates continue to be higher than the state average, according to figures released recently by the Georgia Department of Education.

The latest four-year graduation rate in Henry is 87.0 percent, which ties the district for fourth-highest among the ten largest school systems in the state. Of the ten public high schools in Henry County, nine achieved a graduation rate above the state’s 82.0 percent average. The top individual schools were Ola (94.0 percent), Union Grove (93.8), Woodland (91.9) and Dutchtown (91.2).

Five local schools increased their graduation rates in 2019, with the highest jump belonging to Henry County High (now McDonough High) at 4.2 percentage points. Woodland’s rate increased 3.4 points.
