The Henry County School System reported a slight increase in the 2016 graduation rate over the previous year. This year’s rate of 84.2 is one-tenth of a point higher than 2015 but still five percentage points above the state average, officials stated.

A total of 3,004 students received diplomas in May, the fifth-highest total of any school district in Georgia. Among the top five systems in the state based on senior class size Henry County had the second-highest graduation rate. The top rate for a single school was 93.2 percent at Union Grove High.
