The Henry County School System announced that 84.1 percent of the class of 2015 graduated last year, an increase of six percentage points from the 78.1 percent reported for the previous year. The sixth-largest districtwide senior class in the state, Henry graduated the fifth most students and had the second highest graduation rate among the top six, according to district officials citing figures from the Georgia Department of Education. Dutchtown High School had the highest individual school graduation rate at 94 percent, while Henry County High had the greatest increase among traditional high schools, from 69.3 to 84.2 percent. Countywide, there were 3,431 students in the senior class and 2,886 received diplomas in May.
