Henry County is getting $91,014 in federal pandemic relief funds through the Atlanta Regional Commission to expand meal deliveries to older adults, according to a June 1 statement by county officials.

The ARC announced June 1 that nearly $2 million is being provided across metro Atlanta to enable partner organizations to provide home-delivered nutrition to approximately 1,400 new at-risk clients. This funding allocation represents a 28-percent increase in federal funds for nutrition services for older adults.

The dollars come from the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, approved by Congress to respond to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
