Henry County Fire Department issues annual report

Henry County Fire Department interim chief Brad Johnson gave a summary of the department’s 2015 annual report recently.

During the Feb. 2 regular Board of Commissioners meeting he reported that last year the department responded to 650 fires and 19,031 medical emergencies with an average response time of about 8.5 minutes.

A total of 27,879 county citizens participated in fire and life safety education through various community events.
