The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Sept. 18 regular meeting to approve a rezoning from RA (residential-agricultural) to R-3 (single-family residential) for 11.683 acres of property at 354 Wilson Drive.

The request was for a single-family residential subdivision. The proposal was for 19 lots with minimum lot size of 18,000 square feet on public sewer and with a net density of two dwelling units per acre. The commissioners conducted a rezoning hearing in August of 2015 and a motion for denial of R-3 was made but it died for lack of a second. No subsequent motion was made.

This time the motion was to deny R-3 but approve R-2 (sewer), and it passed unanimously.
