Henry County commissioner Dee Clemmons prevailed in the only contested primary among the three commission seats on this year’s ballot. Clemmons continues her quest for a second term after getting a majority vote against two Democrat challengers, avoiding a runoff. She will face Republican candidate Steve Richardson in November.

Fellow commissioner Johnny Wilson is unopposed in the primary as well as the general election and will also win a second term. Current commission chair June Wood, Republican, and Democrat challenger Carlotta Harrell were both unopposed in the primary.
