The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its April 16 regular meeting to rezone a 159.1-acre tract on the north side of Jonesboro Road and the west side of McCullough Road.

The original request in early 2018 was for RS (residential suburban) zoning and was tabled for quite some time, but the commissioners approved R-3 zoning as the developers agreed they only wanted a gated residential development with no multi-family housing. Several conditions were placed on the rezoning, including a requirement that enough right-of-way be left undisturbed for the future widening of Jonesboro Road.

Other conditions included the establishment of a homeowners association and the installing of streetlights along Jonesboro Road.
