The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 4 to approve a resolution regarding the Georgia Department of Transportation Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant application for fiscal year 2019.

The state DOT will be assisting Henry County in the resurfacing of 16 county roads in all five districts and will provide funding in the amount of $2,149,354.54. The grant requires a 30 percent match from the county and it will meet the requirement through in-kind labor services and DOT asphalt budget.
