A dirt road improvement project in west Henry County will require $121,961 in utility relocation, and that expenditure was approved by the Board of Commissioners at its Jan. 8 regular meeting.

The work on South Cleveland Church Road is funded by the county’s special purpose local-option sales tax, and it requires the Henry County Water Authority to relocate a portion of its facilities, according to a county staff report. The estimated cost is 11.99 percent of the total construction cost, and the funds are in the project budget.

A bid was awarded for the road project in November and right-of-way acquisition is complete, according to the SPLOST department.
