Henry County approves park land purchase

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted recently to purchase 22.84 acres from the Board of Education.

There was no public discussion before the vote, but the resolution authorizing the transaction noted that the land was “for park purposes” and the purchase price was $200,000. According to a Henry County Parks and Recreation Department spokesperson, the land will be used to expand North Ola Park for baseball fields.
