The Henry County Board of Commissioners authorized the transfer of $1,240,528 in Local Maintenance Improvement Grant funds to complete necessary road resurfacing work for this year.

The county’s Department of Transportation was unable to complete all of the LMIG projects for the last fiscal year before it ended and the remaining funds were moved to the Restricted Fund Balance account. The money is now needed to complete those projects and a budget amendment was needed to make the funds available.

The county DOT requested approval of a budget amendment transferring those funds to the General Supplies and Asphalt account.
