The Kennesaw Cemetery Preservation Committee is hosting an event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7 called Decoration Day, dedicated to beautifying Kennesaw’s historic cemetery. “Each year, we take time to spruce up family gravesites, plant flowers, and clean grave markers. It is our way of showing respect to those that have passed,” said Mary Helyn Hagin in a press release. She is the Decoration Day coordinator. “It is a day of friendship and fellowship as we honor our heritage.” Information: 770-424-8274
