Hearing set for air base study

Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta will hold a public hearing on a land use study 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Cobb Board of Commissioners room, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta. Cobb County, Marietta, Smyrna and Dobbins are working on a joint study to resolve compatibility issues and reduce potential conflicts between the air base and surrounding communities. Issues include air quality, light, glare, noise, vibration and traffic.
