The Jonquil City is filling up its flowerbed.

Smyrna is one of the fastest-growing cities in America, according to a study from U-Haul released Thursday.

The company analyzed the net gain of one-way moving trucks into the city compared to those leaving.

Smyrna earned the No. 22 spot nationwide; it was the only city in Georgia listed.

The city’s number of arriving U-Hauls in 2018 went up 25 percent, and departures rose 16 percent from 2017 numbers, according to a news release.

The estimated 2017 city population, according to the United States Census Bureau, was more than 56,000.

The national U-Haul study found that people are moving to Texas along with Florida and California while people are getting the heck out of Illinois. The No. 1 city was Sacramento.

In May, another U-Haul report showed Atlanta as the No. 20 destination city for do-it-yourself movers.
