The Hapeville Planning Commission will consider amending the ordinance regulating halfway houses during the regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hapeville City Hall, 700 Doug Davis Drive. The purpose is to define the term halfway house and distinguish it clearly from other non-traditional “community residences,” including group homes, nursing homes and personal care homes.

The commission will also consider a conditional use permit request for property at 1155 Virginia Ave. the permit is to allow additional parking lot space for peak business hours for the retail business located there.
