The City of Hapeville is making a last call for entries to “Sharing Our Stories,” a public art project commemorating the 125th anniversary of the city’s founding.

The deadline is Dec.23.

The city is asking artists to create art representing one or more of the oral histories provided by former and current Hapeville residents.

A jury will choose three to seven public art projects from the entries. The selected art will be installed on public property in Hapeville’s downtown arts district.

Each installation will have a label with a QR code, providing a link to an audio file of the artist explaining the work as well as an audio file of the inspirational oral history behind it.
