The city of Hapeville Water and Fire departments will begin their semiannual flushing and testing of the fire hydrants on May 15. The water department will flush during the evening hours, starting at 7 p.m. with Fire Department testing

during the day.

City officials do not anticipate any problems; however, structures with old iron waterlines may experience discolored water during this period. This effect is not hazardous, says city officials, and can be remedied by letting the cold water

run for a few minutes.
