The Hampton Police Department has provided a spot for local residents to exchange items purchased through Craigslist, Facebook and other online means.

The department has designated an area in its front parking lot for buyers and sellers to meet in safety. There is a sign identifying the location and it is under 24-hour recorded high-definition video surveillance. Citizens can use it at any time without prior notification.

The police headquarters is at the corner of McDonough Street and East Main Street, across from the train depot.
