For at least the second time this week and the third time in the past 10 days, smash-and-grab thieves targeting expensive hair weaves have hit a metro Atlanta beauty supply store.

The latest break-in happened about 3 a.m. Thursday at King's Beauty Supply on Ga. 138 in Fayette County.

Fayette sheriff's detectives told the AJC that the intruders broke out the front door, then took an undetermined number of hair extensions.

Before daybreak on Tuesday, burglars drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee through the front doors of Angie's Beauty Supply and Salon on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard in southwest Atlanta, doing extensive structural damage to the business.

Once inside, they made a beeline for the wall where high-dollar "Indi Remi" hair weaves were displayed.

On August 23, three thieves smashed their way into the Beauty Masters II store in the Camp Creek Marketplace shopping center on Camp Creek Parkway.

Security video showed the trio frantically grabbing single-strand weaves from shelves before fleeing with hair valued at $50,000.

On June 18, thieves also broke into another beauty supply store owned by the same individual, the Beauty Master store on Headland Drive near Greenbriar Parkway.
