A woman was sitting in her car outside her Duluth apartment on Nov. 8 when a man tapped on her window with a gun, Gwinnett County police say.

The man demanded she hand over her belongings. After she handed over her purse, iPhone and wallet, the man took the keys out of the ignition, according to police.

The armed man fled from the apartment complex on Breckenridge Boulevard in a car driven by a heavy-set woman, police said. He then used the victim’s debit card at two nearby gas stations, according to a police report.

The man spoke Spanish during the robbery and was described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, with dark hair, brown eyes and “distinctive” facial hair. The woman in the car with him did not leave the car during the robbery or the gas station purchases, so there is no additional description of her.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
