Scattered thunderstorms are expected throughout the day Monday, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologists.

Temperatures in the mid-70s early Monday will lead to the upper 80s and low 90s today, said Channel 2’s Karen Minton. Monday and Tuesday are the best chances for showers and storms for the week, with drier days expected later in the week.

While dodging rain today, commuters should also watch their speed today. Georgia is one of several states that will be cracking down on speeders in a national, "Operation Southern Shield," speed enforcement operation.

The enforcement operation runs through July. 22
