Gwinnett County Water Resources new water and sewer rates go into effect in January. The single family residential tier-one rates reflect a $.17 increase per 1,000 gallons at $5.02 for the first 7,999 gallons of water use and a $.78 per 1,000 gallons sewer charge at $8.60. Tier-two (8,000 to 12,000 gallons) rates will increase $.26 to $7.53 per 1,000 gallons and tier-three rates for usage above 12,000 gallons will increase $.34 to $10.04 per 1,000 gallons.

Commercial/multi family residential rates will also increase slightly by $.17 to $5.02 per 1,000 gallons for water usage. Sewer rates will increase by $.78 to $8.60 per 1,000 gallons. All irrigation and builder accounts will be billed at two times the tier-one volumetric rate for all water that passes through the water meter per billing period.
