The Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District is now Gateway85 Gwinnett. The CID was formed in 2006 by local residents and business owners who no longer felt safe in the area and who had trouble finding business tenants. For the past 10 years the CID has worked in collaboration with Gwinnett and the Norcross Police Department to develop crime reduction efforts that include adding extra police and security patrols in the district. Work has continued to improve the community’s appearance, to find traffic solutions and to celebrate cultural diversity.

After surveying property owners, businesses, developers and residents, the CID has now rebranded itself as Gateway85 Gwinnett to highlight its convenient access to rail, I-85 and the airport as well as to symbolize it as a gateway to community.
