Sure, former New York Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez has a World Series ring. But he just got beaten in a hitting contest by a Gwinnett County boy who is still looking forward to his second birthday.

Asher Willig, 22 months, has become an online sensation for baseball skills well beyond his nearly two years on this earth. His father Corey Willig, a former professional baseball player in the United and Pecos leagues, has documented Asher's skills on Instagram, showing him hit balls at a batting range, in the backyard and even right next to the Christmas tree (and he didn't even break any ornaments).

Asher’s skills were put to the test on an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week. The Lawrenceville toddler had to face off against Rodriguez, the recently retired Yankee and newly minted sportscaster. The challenge: hit as many soft-toss balls as you can in 30 seconds. Rodriguez, a right-handed batter, had to bat with his left hand and use the same bat that Asher did, since Asher is left-handed and about three feet tall.

Rodriguez hit eight balls in 30 seconds, shooting some into the crowd. Asher, not to be outdone, hit nine balls, getting the winning hit in at the last second.
