Police found the bodies of 18-year-old Jaquille Thomas and 19-year-old Angelique Bowman in a Norcross subdivision on Jan. 25, 2016. Thomas was found in a resident's backyard and Bowman was found two hours later inside a car parked near the subdivision pool. Both died from gunshot wounds, the DA's office said. T
homas and Bowman were a couple, and Bowman lived with Thomas and his family for the year and a half before their deaths, Thomas’ mother told police.

Surveillance footage showed Thomas and Walker walking in the subdivision, eventually leaving the camera’s sight. Shortly after, Walker re-entered the picture, but Thomas was nowhere to be seen, the DA’s office said. Another surveillance camera near the pool showed Walker running from the area where Bowman’s body was found in the car.
Walker was arrested after several tips were sent to police through Crime Stoppers. He admitted to police that he had shot both Thomas and Bowman, saying Thomas had pulled a gun on him when he had expected to make a gun sale. When investigators asked Walker why he also shot Bowman, Walker said she would “rat him out” if he didn’t kill her, the DA’s office said.
Walker was found guilty on all charges after a four-day trial and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.
