Gwinnett Technical College is accepting applications for its new online Clinical Research Professional certificate program. The classes will begin in January.

The college has offered the certificate through a traditional in-class program for about five years, but the new program will be offered fully online. The online course will last 40 weeks and cover the same material as the traditional class setting.

The course is designed to prepare students for entry-level clinical research positions and give researchers extra knowledge about the field, officials said.
