Gwinnett Tech offers free income tax help

Gwinnett Technical College and AARP Tax-Aide will offer free income tax preparation assistance from Feb. 1 to April 15.

Volunteers with AARP Tax-Aide will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at the campus’ Busbee Center, Building 700, Room 2106. Tax assistance will not be available March 9-15.

Appointments are not necessary. Clients should bring last year’s income tax return, proper identification and all necessary documents for this tax year. People who claim itemized deductions on Schedule A or certain other deductions will not be able to process their returns until Feb. 14.
