Gwinnett Commissioners recently voted to renew an annual contract to purchase public safety uniforms. The $510,000 contract will provide uniforms for all Gwinnett County public safety departments, including police, corrections, sheriff and fire.

The various uniforms will come from Dana Safety Supply, Inc., Designlab, Inc., Galls, LLC, Stirling Promotions, Inc., The Target Group, Inc., and Uniform Sales America, LLC.

According to the county’s documents, “a recent analysis reveals that there has been a slight increase in the cost of uniforms due to an increase in manufacturing, labor, and freight cost.” Through successful negotiations, the county was able to save approximately $1,250 without any reduction in the scope of the contract.
