Gwinnett County Public Schools is looking for a few good mentors.

A Gwinnett Schools program is seeking 50 community volunteers to help set positive examples for middle school boys at-risk of dropping out of school.

The volunteers would aid the district's Community-Based Mentoring program which helps students who are experiencing academic and behavior issues.

Mentor orientation for new volunteers will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Instructional Support Center, 437Old Peachtree Rd. NW, Suwanee.

The program helps students to boost their self-confidence, learn self-discipline, improve their school attendance and academic records.
