Rick Cost, chief financial officer for Gwinnett County Schools, told the school board on Thursday that the school system has just under $100 million in uncommitted reserves or savings. "That barely keeps us afloat cash-flow wise through the summer while we're not collecting property taxes," Cost said. This past year, the system came within $7 million in terms of cash flow, he said. "I wouldn't want to cut it any closer."
