No kids were hurt when a school bus got into an accident in Sugar Hill on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Suwanee Dam Road and Cumming Highway. The driver had “visible injuries,” Gwinnett County police said, but Greater Atlanta Christian School, to which the bus belongs, said the driver was uninjured.

Police advised drivers to avoid the area, which is experiencing delays.

The bus was carrying the Greater Atlanta Christian School’s varsity girls’ soccer team, who were on the way to a game. The accident was minor and another bus brought the team, coaches and driver back to the Norcross campus, a spokeswoman said. The soccer game will be rescheduled.
