Gwinnett County police are asking for the public's help finding the men who robbed a local restaurant owner with a cattle prod earlier this month.

According to police, the victim was walking home to the Menlo Creek Apartments on Satellite Boulevard on Oct. 7 when two men approached him from behind.

"One of the suspects hit him with a cattle prod while the other suspect was holding a handgun," Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a news release. "The suspects stole his backpack containing cash and personal valuables."

The suspects reportedly drove away in a black Dodge Challenger, shown in surveillance photos released Monday by police.

"The victim told the officers that he thinks that the suspects followed him home from his business a few days prior," Pihera said.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call detectives at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can also remain anonymous — and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000 — by visiting CrimeStoppersAtlanta.org, calling 404-577-8477 or texting information to 274637.
