Gwinnett Commissioners recently approved a contract to replace the correctional facility kitchen floor at the Gwinnett County Detention Center, 750 Hi Hope Road in Lawrenceville. Lichty Commercial Construction, Inc. was the lowest of four bidders for the project expected to cost no more than $127,312.

This contract includes the removal of the existing floor coating and installation of a new urethane cement flooring system.

The Gwinnett County Detention Center is a minimum-security prison that can hold up to 2,765 individuals convicted of a crime or who have been accused and are awaiting trial.
