Gwinnett Commissioners recently renewed a special use permit for an automobile and truck repair shop in the 900 block of Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. The permit affects 2 acres of a larger 8.29-acre parcel on the west side of Buford Drive at its intersection with Braselton Highway. The initial special Uue permit was granted for truck repair in 2016 for a different applicant and included a time limitation of two years. The remaining 6.28-acres are not used by the applicant for truck repair, but rather are used by the property owner for truck storage and are not part of this request.
The approval, which brings the truck repair business into zoning compliance, comes with conditions including requirements for repainting the building, new landscaping, and all trucks must be parked behind the existing building.
