Two people were killed and a third person critically injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle wreck in Gwinnett County.

The crash happened about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and Shawnee Industrial Way near Suwanee.

According to Gwinnett police, the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser was attempting to make a left turn from Shawnee Industrial Way onto Satellite Boulevard southbound when he pulled out in front of the tractor portion of a northbound tractor-trailer.

The truck slammed into the PT Cruiser, then crashed through a guard rail and went about 30 feet into a wooded area, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The Chrysler driver, 20-year-old Ethan Ashline, and his 25-year-old front-seat passenger, Adrianna Romero, died at the scene.

A back-seat passenger, 31-year-old Justin Kyall, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

The truck driver was not injured, and has not been charged.

Police said neither speed nor alcohol was believed to be a contributing factor in the wreck.
