Gwinnett Parks and Recreation will hold a master plan public input meeting to discuss the new Discovery Park site at 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at Discovery High School, 1335 Old Norcross Road in Lawrenceville.

The Discovery Park Site is being acquired to function as a community park for all ages to enjoy. Gwinnett Parks and Recreation values public opinion and is inviting everyone to attend and share thoughts on this future project. Applications will also be taken for the newest Youth Athletic Association Steering Committee. Information: 770-822-8840.

In March of 2018, Gwinnett’s Board of Commissioners used eminent domain to obtain about 45 acres at the corner of Lawrenceville-Suwanee and Old Norcross roads for the future park.
