Gwinnett County Public Schools and Gwinnett Medical Center will offer free concussion baseline testing for young athletes this weekend.

The testing will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 10 Gwinnett high schools, and is open to anyone ages 12 and up. The test "establishes a baseline profile of how the brain functions pre-injury, which is imperative in diagnosing and treating concussions," the school system said in a news release.

"Participants will learn about concussions and baselines, complete the baseline testing and finish with an optional post-test Q&A," the release said.
