The Gwinnett County Public Library and All About Developmental Disabilities are partnering to host a free workshop on developmental and intellectual disability benefits.

The workshop at the Five Forks library branch in Lawrenceville will help parents, guardians and family members of children with disabilities learn about the services and benefits available when a disabled person turns 18.

The workshop will include discussions on Social Security benefits, Medicaid waivers and family support services. Guests should bring any transition plan or individualized education plans they may already have, as well as relevant medical records.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on April 18.
