Gwinnett County has launched a new web site as part of its effort to reach one million volunteer hours by 2015.

Last year volunteers provided 471,000 hours of service to the county. Through the Volunteer Gwinnett program the county hopes to make it easier for residents to get involved in county government. County officials see the volunteer effort as a way to save money on providing county services.
