Gwinnett to host forum on transportation sales tax

Sept 23, 2011

Gwinnett residents can have their say on a proposed regional transportation sales tax package at a hearing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville.

Next year metro Atlanta voters will consider a 1 percent sales tax to pay for a host of road and transit projects. The final list is still being developed. The public can learn about the draft project list, ask questions and make comments at Monday’s hearing.

Comments also can be made at www.atlantaregionalroundtable.com or by calling 404-463-3123.
