A home near Lawrenceville caught fire Wednesday night — for the second time in just over a month.

Gwinnett fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said crews responded to the home on the 2600 block of Five Forks Trickum Road around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, after a 911 caller reported seeing flames. Firefighters found "about three-quarters of the house" engulfed by flames, but brought the blaze under control in about half an hour.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and may be hard to determine, Rutledge said — because of the May 3 fire that caused heavy damage at the same home.

That fire broke out in the kitchen area of the home and destroyed much of the home, including the roof. An exact cause of that fire has not been determined either, though investigators haven't ruled out an electrical issue, Rutledge said.

The investigation into both fires is ongoing.
