A Gwinnett County man has completed the Boston Marathon, finishing No. 10 among all handcyclists.

Ken Higgins, of Dacula, crossed the finish line at 10:47 a.m. Monday, clocking in with a time of one hour, 25 minutes and one second. The winning handcyclist, Tom Davis of New York state, finished in under an hour. His final time was 58 minutes and 36 seconds.

The handcycle marathon is one of four different kinds of races in the Boston Marathon. Participants can also run or race in pushrim wheelchairs, and visually impaired runners compete in their own marathon.

Higgins was not available to talk about the race Monday afternoon — let’s be real, he was probably taking a much-deserved rest.
