Gwinnett "green" buildings honored

Two Gwinnett County public buildings have been recognized for their environmentally friendly designs.

The U.S. Green Building Council recently awarded LEED Gold certifications to the county’s Senior Services Center in Lawrenceville and its Yellow River Water Reclamation Facility in Lilburn. The LEED program uses a variety of criteria to judge the design, construction and operation of buildings that use less water and energy.
