"It" being news about recently-opened businesses, proposed developments and other dealings that happen in the county on a daily basis.

So for your convenience, we've rounded up a few of the week's most noteworthy ones here.

We found out what's going up behind Academy Sports + Outdoors in Snellville.

The Gwinnett County Planning Commission unanimously approved plans for a 16-acre mixed use development on Woodward Crossing Boulevard across from the Mall of Georgia in Buford. And we got to see renderings of the proposed project, which would include a hotel that'd be Gwinnett's tallest building. The development now is set for a public hearing before the Board of Commissioners on Sept. 27.

We rounded up a list of everything going on at Mall of Georgia in one place. Yes, it includes the first brick-and-mortar ThinkGeek.

Gwinnett County chose Atlanta-based North American Properties to develop a private entertainment district on county-owned land at Infinite Energy Center.

We learned that a former Snellville Waffle House is now a business that offers classes on everything from entrepreneurship to parenting a child with ADHD.
